I got a tattoo that means a lot to me. I am very happy with it so I don't want anyone to be sad for me. It is very personal to me and I am not going to just tell anyone about why I got it.
I know it is forever and that is why I have been thinking about getting it for over 2 years. It is a tree. It is a little hard to tell what it is unless you can see around my arm a bit more.
It is not your tattoo so if you don't like it you don't really have to say anything.

Is it in color or black and white? (can't tell from the picture)
I've heard that the inner forearm and the top of the foot are the two most painful places to get a tattoo. True? Trees are so beautiful and powerful and have such great meaning (and so many different meanings), I can understand why you would choose one.
@ Phoenyx It is black and gray. There is white ink that is used sometimes but not on mine.
@ Kimberly I have only been tattooed on my inner arm so i can't compare but what i do know is that it was really unpleasant to have done. The first 3 hours were okay but hour 5 was really painful. That was when the artist was going back over things that were already sensitive and getting the small branches up by my elbow. Everyone i have talked to says that their tattoo is on the most painful place so it would reason that every place is the most painful.
Makes sense. I went with a coworker when she got a four-leaf clover on the top of her foot and she said it was worse than childbirth. ;) Coming up North anytime soon? We miss you and we are pet-friendly!
That tattoo is boss. Nice job.
